It was such a treat to come across this magazine at my local bookstore. To have so many of my favorite patterns collected into one magazine so that I don't have to remember which issue held which pattern is a great time saver. Also to be able to have so many new, to me, projects provided many hours of wonderful possibilities on a very snowy day!! Thanks for bringing these back.

I have all issues back to 1982. Would love to have them all on cd's --especially the old ones. I reference the back issues all the time and never allow them to leave the house. It's amazing how much I learned from them!

A printer with scanning device is an idea for people already having the hard copy. Makes it possible to scan and archive them in articles or subjects. Place all on USB and you hav lots of space.

I did that with magazines from the 50-70th.

Although it takes some time....

This is a great idea, but if you have many, many issues I think a DVD or set of DVDs would be much better. A CD only holds 800 mb (max) whereas a DVD holds 4.7 gb and a Blu-Ray holds like 20 gb. I would rather have DVD or Blu-Ray so I don't have to shuffle between 800 cd's :)

Love the idea of CD's for all issues especially as I have packed a bunch of back issues for yet another move. The price is a bit high, anyway to discount to those of us who already purchased these issues? I'm sure you can locate a historical record of subscribers. As a member since 1986 or so, I would love to have an electronic copy and ditch the weight of the paper. Approaching retirement I'm hoping for a chance to finally use some of these great ideas. FYI, many of these I created as spiral bound volumes, getting rid of outdated advertising and making a more useful version for project work. Hopefully the CD version contains the essential information only. D Brown

I just wanted to add my hearty recommendation that you make the earlier issues available on CD or download - maybe 10 years per CD. I would purchase them in a heartbeat...

Compilation CDs are an excellent idea - What took you so long. Another magazine I subscribe to has been doing annual CDs for a few years now. I have acquired their 40 years of publications, 10 years were on each of 4 CDs for back issues and current issues are available every 2 years per CD. As I get the CDs I recycle my current magazine issues to the library, friends & local guilds. The CDs are much easier to store and the information is so easy to access. I love, love, love the idea.

Talk to "Mother Earth News" magazine people, they have 10 years of articles & pictures on their CD's. They've been doing this for some time, as well as offering a digital subscription.

Past issues on CD? Brilliant (so long as you continue to put out the hard copies, please - do *not* go completely electronic). Unavailable back issues suddenly are available. That would be wonderful (but I *do* love having the actual paper magazine to hold and look through and it doesn't need electricity for me to read it).

Love this idea...I had about half of the issues but lost them all in a house fire last summer. Agreed, it is pricey, but it's my only option to have these issues again so I'll be saving up.

I am so thrilled about this, I have been wrilting you about doing this for a long time. I see it as an opportunity to complete my collection, and I look forward to the time you post the older issues.

However I am dissappointet you have not made the option of buy as download. It matters A LOT for overseas customers, who on top of this quite pricey cd has to pay a lot in posting and customs.

Please make that option!

Another thing, I am a bit puzzled you have started promoting this with a recent year of publishing, it is most likely that quite a lot of us subscribers has them already, besides they are still available as prints. In this way you are competing with your selves for subscription customers.

Why not start in the other end with older, out of print, most sought after issues?

That would truely be an addition to normal subscriptions worth paying for!
