What are the arrangements for registering for SOAR 2010? I'd love to come but as I'm in the UK I'm not sure how to go about it - Help!

I grew up right outside of Lake Lawn Lodge. Can't wait to visit back. Is there anywhere I can sign up information to be emailed to me? Or get on the SOAR Mailing list for 2010?

When I called Sunriver Resort, the day after registration opened, the clerk was giggling! Seems they had been slammed with all the restervations opening day. I can tell you they were not out of space, Janet, Jerry and I will not be in a single room this year!

thanks so much for posting this! As I said on Ravelry, I was a bit worried about not booking until it was too late and being forced to sleep in Judith MacKenzie McCuin"s bathtub! Heh. This puts my mind at ease.

Yes, the process went Very Well, and I want to say a Big Thanks for knowing right off yes we are "IN" Now I have a question, when any one has the time to answder. I called for a room, but they said it was not in the hotel. And my question is where are the classes? Will we need to carry wheels far out side??

I'm registered. I did get wait listed for my Friday morning seminar. I'm not sure how to handle that. I may want to go in and pick replacement before the choices get even slimmer. There doesn't seem to be any recommendation on what to do with that.

I hope everyone else is getting registered. This was a great way to register. Thanks to everyone involved in making it go so smoothly.

Were it not for the fact that SOAR Fall Retreat is the same time as SAFF I would have a)loved to be there; and b)had some of those wonderful teachers come to Asheville. Oh well.

Can we still attend SOAR and visit the vendor booths and/or the displays/fashion shows, even if we are not enrolled in any workshops?

Today is the first I've looked up the SOAR connection, and am VERY sad to see that the scholarship date has passed. (I hadn't realized there might even BE scholarships). On a teacher's salary in a high cost of living area, I simply can't afford the workshops and/or retreats out of pocket. It makes me sad, as I have never ever had a spinning class or teacher, yet I've been spinning off and on for 18 years or so. I teach third graders to knit and introduce them to spinning. Spin Off Magazine has been my only teacher.

Does exclusion from the workshops mean exclusion from the whole SOAR experience?

My great great grandmother immigrated on the Oregon Trail to Bend, Oregon from the post Civil War South. I was thinking of grabbing my sister and driving for a very long day to attend SOAR, meet some of the community, feel the energy, and check out the vendors and shows. Is this an option if we aren't enrolled in classes? SOAR is in my neck of the woods this year. I'd hate to miss out if there is something we can share.
