I've notices that my Advanced Students seem to want to "get there fast" when it comes to spinning. I tell them enjoy the process, slow down, pre-draft their fibers, slow down the treadling until they hit the "sweet zone." Pretty much all are doing well.

A big problem is comparing their spinning styles and yarns to someone else. "I want mine to look like ..."

Remember, love the spin you're in.

No one spins like you. No one makes yarn as beautifully as you do. Artwork isn't artwork until it's in a finished product. So, make something with your yarn. Look at it. Love it. Use it. Frame it for goodness sake and be proud of your accomplishment. Very few people can spin in this world.

That's cool, it's the "Be Here Now" of spinning.  Your students are lucky!
