I am building a spinning wheel for my daughter. Could a few kind souls measure the thickness of the wheel and post it here? Please include the brand and model also. I'm guessing it is around 1" to maybe 1.5".
If you could do this, it would be a big help as I don't have hands-on access to one.
My Ashford Traveler single drive is 1 1/8".
I have an old Sleeping Beauty with a wheel 1" thick and a Schact Matchless with a wheel 1 1/8" thick..
I am interested in your project? Are you following a plan? I would like to build a spinning wheel as well but have not been able to find a simple plan to follow. Any ideas?
