My favourite spindle, of the quite sizeable collection I now have is this one from IST spindles.. Oak Bur on Sycamore with Ash shaft. Rim banded / weighted and it is 28 grm. I've been looking at the Turkish spindles. They just look so fascinating! However, I did my first bit of spinning yesterday, and the Greensleeves Bare Bones was very easy to use! Definitely need more practice/research/question-askig regarding drafting the roving, though. But that's for another...

Yep, yep, me too in the 50 range. I am lovng my Spindlewood spindles these days - just can't use them enough. It is like an extention of my hand and arm, so natural. Pretty too.
