Cigar Box Charkha (751 KB)
Using a minimal number of tools and materials you can build your own functional charkha from a cigar box. Marilyn Rishel Sult’s article shared here was originally published in the sold-out Winter 1996 issue of Spin-Off.
I built one with the help of my husband. It turned out pretty good. My only issue is the drive band. O-ring kits are not easy to find.
