Why can't I download? Clicking on the download arrow takes me to the blogs.

Sorry about that--I had the link set up incorrectly--it should work now. You can also click in the image above and get a version that you can print.

Good Morning!

I have tried three (3) times to print off the yarn chart and am unable to do so.  This looks like it would be  worth having in my file for future reference.  Help

Thanks for the chart, Amy.  It IS helpful but I speak from experience when I say  that it can also be "deceptive".   We may be able to duplicate the diameter (wpi) very easily, but to match the grist of commercial yarn is much more difficult.

I found out the hard way when I spun for an Einstein Coat (Sally Melville).  I matched the wpi of her suggested yarn perfectly, but my yarn  was obviously heavier.  Needless to say this affected the finished, knitted garment!  I am now in the process of "un-knitting" the piece and reconsidering my project...    Lesson learnt!   Kind regards,  Friedl.

About the yardage - I'm I right in assuming it's for woolen type of fibres? There would be a great difference between wool and silk or bamboo.
