My Bio

 Me....

It is so difficult to try to explain what you do for a living or how you live your life to those who are not involved in the fibre community  - in my case when I have tried to describe my raison d'etre for living,  I watch their eyes glaze over and their body stance shift uncomfortably as they are totally unable to place me in a box with a label or title.

I am really three people - firstly, a wife and mother, secondly a business woman with keen academic interests, and thirdly a craftsperson, tutor, author and artist, in no particular order.   Somehow all of these interests are woven into the daily existence of my life and most of the time it works and makes for a happy existence...

There is one common thread which underlies the narrative of my existence - spinning, figuratively and metaphorically.  When things get tough, the wheel comes out !!
