Longwool sheep fleece is perfect for worsted spinning. Lustrous, long (of course!), and smooth, the locks of longwool are best suited to being combed, spun with a short forward draw, and made into hard-wearing fabrics. With relatively little grease, longwool fleeces are efficient—little weight is lost in the wash.
