LoginIf you are a spinner who has balls of leftover yarn lying around, why not use them in your weaving?
Combine your handspun yarns with a few textural elements, or mix handspun plus commercially available fashion yarns, to create a one-of-a-kind scarf that demands to be touched.
This painterly scarf was inspired by a piece of vintage fabric the author saw online. To get the texture, she added various materials as she wove, including silk roving, sparkle fibers, wool roving, and sari silk recycled yarn.
There are no rules with freestyle weaving, and even 2- or 3-inch scraps are perfect for adding texture!
