Tailspun Mittens Knitting Pattern

Keep out the chill with these bulky handspun mittens. Locks of tailspun mohair create a warm and colorful cuff.

Finished Size: 5¾ (6¾, 7¾)" (14.5 [17, 19.5] cm) hand circumference and 6½ (9, 10)" (16.5 [23, 25.5] cm) from cuff to tip of fingers; to fit a child (adult medium, adult large).

Yarn Weight: #5 - Bulky

Needles: Sizes 11 and 13 (8 and 9 mm): Set of 4 double-pointed (dpn) or two 16" (40 cm) circular (cir) needles. Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); waste yarn; tapestry needle.

Gauge: 12 sts and 20 rnds = 4" (10 cm) on smaller needles with bulky 2-ply yarn.
