This week’s Small Biz Saturday focuses on Fort Collins LYS Your Daily Fiber. Aside from having a super clever name, Your Daily Fiber is a great place to go for quality yarns and to sit and knit. The Sipes family—Elaine, Ivy, and Darrell—owns and runs the shop, and they’ve been open for seven years. They recently went through a location change, moving completely across town. Ivy told me they really like the new location, just a block west of highway 287 in the south part of Fort Collins. It’s a nice, open space filled with awesome yarns, looms, needles, and much more!

Darrell Sipes is the dyer of the family, and the shop sells his hand-dyed yarns. He creates beautiful solids, variegated, and gradient yarns. The family also has some alpacas and llamas and they create and sell yarn made from their own beloved animals!

Your Daily Fiber offers a variety of engaging events for every fiber enthusiast excited to learn more. They have crochet, knitting, spinning, and weaving classes, and they host the Wild West Knitting Retreat annually in Livermore, Colorado. Weekly Knit Night happens on Thursdays from 5:30 to 7 pm. Stop by Your Daily Fiber sometime, or check out their website for more information at www.YourDailyFiber.com.
