A Shepherd's Calendar: One of the most important lessons I have learned as a shepherd is to always be flexible. It sounds so simple, but I have to remind myself of this over and over.
My fiber journeys this year have taken me to a dozen states for different events, each one unique and wonderful in its own way. I thought I would share a snapshot of just three events I was lucky to experience this fall.

Several summers ago, I boarded a small plane in Edinburgh, Scotland, bound for the Shetland Isles. I will never forget the sudden joy of seeing Shetland’s patchwork of stone and vibrant green as the plane suddenly emerged from the low clouds.
The search for new horizons, new traditions, and really, new parts of ourselves, can be absolutely intoxicating.
